The fixtures this weekend start with a bang! There’s a huge line up, that might get less inspiring as the weekend goes on, so make sure you’re ready early with our Premier League tips!
Week 11 in the Premier League passed without surprise as all of the top teams, except for Manchester United won their fixtures. Chelsea vs. Manchester United was the star attraction of the last round, with Jose Mourinho going to his old stomping ground. But unfortunately, he was unable to change what has been a disastrous run of away form, against the other top 6 teams. In a close game, Chelsea won 1-0 thanks to an Alvaro Morata header. Further down the league, Everton manager David Unsworth got his first win as manager, and Everton’s first win in 9 games in a thrilling 3-2 victory over Watford.
Premier League Tips: Tottenham have won five of their last six away games
Tottenham moved into joint second, level on points with Manchester United following their 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace thanks to an impressive goal by Heung Min Son. It wasn’t the most classic of displays by Tottenham, but after the high of a midweek victory over Real Madrid, it was important that they got the job done.
They had a few injury concerns to contend with as the International break drew near. Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Harry Winks had to pull out of England duty due to injuries, but Spurs fans will be especially relieved to hear Kane will be fit to face their North London rivals.
Hugo Lloris, Dele Alli, Erik Lamela, Michel Vorm and Harry Winks are touch and go, but it is likely that some of them will be included. Victor Wanyama and Toby Alderweireld are definitely out however.
It’s been a very difficult run of games on paper for Tottenham, in a run where they have played Liverpool, Man Utd, Real Madrid x2, and now Arsenal and Dortmund. But should they pick up points against their rivals, they will be pleased with their work, and hopeful they can reduce the gap between them and City over the winter months.
Arsenal on the other hand, are coming off the back of a disappointing week before the international break. Firstly, they could only manage a draw at home to Red Star Belgrade, and then they were convincingly beaten 3-1 by Manchester City.
Wenger will be aware that if his side get beaten at the weekend, it will be the final nail in the coffin of their title aspirations, as they will be 7 points behind Tottenham and 12 or possibly 15 behind City. One thing Arsenal do have to cling onto though, is their fantastic form at home. They have only lost 8 of 90 home Premier League matches. They are also unbeaten in their last 6 against Tottenham at the Emirates, with the last 3 being 1-1 draws.
Arsenal have a few injury concerns of their own. Cazorla and Giroud are still out, with Iwobi, Welbeck, Mustafi, Holding and Ospina doubtful. Koscielny has been carrying an achilles injury, but is expected to feature.

Premier League Tips: West Ham have conceded at least 2 goals in their last 3 matches
The Premier League welcomes back manager David Moyes as he takes charge of his first match following the sacking of Slaven Bilic.
West Ham’s run of form has been disastrous, and the board had little option but to sack him. Some eyebrows have been raised over them hiring Moyes. But it is expected that it will be a short term deal while they source another target. Should he perform though, it is unlikely they won’t want to extend his stay.
His first job will be to improve a leaky Hammers defence that has conceded 11 goals in the last 4 matches. In fact, they have now conceded 23 goals so far in the League. This gives them the worst defensive record of any team.
David Moyes will be able to call on experienced head Pablo Zabaleta who returns from suspension, so that will help. What definitely won’t help though, is first choice central defensive pair Winston Reid and Jose Fonte missing out through injury. That means Kouyate is likely to step back into the centre of defence.
After a decent start to the season under Marco Silva which saw them sitting in the top 5, Watford have run out of steam in recent weeks, and have lost 3 on the bounce following their victory over Arsenal.
It is the home games where Watford have struggled this season. They have failed to score in 5 of their 7 games at Vicarage Road. Facing a David Moyes side who will be focusing on defence first, it doesn’t promise to be a thriller.
Watford also have to contend with the fact they have a lot of players missing. Hoban, Cathcart, Chalobah, Success, and Prodl will definitely miss the match through injury. While Troy Deeney starts the first of a 3 match suspension. Younes Kaboul, Andre Carrillo, Heurelho Gomes and Roberto Pereyra are doubts.

Premier League Tips: Man Utd are undefeated in 27 of their last 29 matches against Newcastle
With just 1 win in 4 Premier League fixtures, and a Manchester City side conquering every side that is put in front of them, Jose Mourinho will be getting anxious that his title challenge is slowly slipping away.
It is vital that his team go on a winning run between now and Christmas. Mourinho will be thankful that the international break arrived when it did. He can now get some key players back from injury. While they’re not quite ready yet, Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo are very close to making a return. Pogba and Ibrahimovic in particular, could make a return to the bench against Newcastle.
The most fascinating thing about this fixture though, is the history between Mourinho and Benitez. They have a long history of their sides having battles, and them having wars of words in the press. They will both be relishing this match, as it is the first time they have met in 10 years. Maybe time has cured their rivalry, although it’s not likely.
Of those injured, just Phil Jones is definitely out, after he aggravated a thigh injury on international duty for England.
Newcastle have had an average start to the season in the Premier League. They’re currently on a run of 6 games with only 1 victory. They’ll be aware that they need to start picking up wins quickly before they free fall towards the relegation zone.
They will have to do so without Mikel Merino, while Paul Dummett, Jamaal Lascelles and Christian Atsu are doubts.
