Premier League Tips 19/20 Matchweek 14

With the frantic Festive period just a couple of weeks away, teams will be looking to build up their bank of points as they bid for the title, Champions League qualification or just avoid the drop.

Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea all go into the weekend’s action on the back of Champions League draws, while a resurgent Tottenham made it two wins from two under Jose Mourinho.

Down the bottom Norwich welcome a struggling Arsenal and Everton travel to take on a Leicester side who currently occupies second in the table. It’s another weekend not to be missed.

Newcastle v Manchester City

A whopping nine points separates leaders Liverpool from Manchester City and manager Pep Guardiola will travel to Newcastle knowing that his side can’t afford anymore slip ups.

The draw with Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday night was hardly a confidence booster and The Citizens, who are expected to be without striker Sergio Aguero, will have to improve to claim the points.

Newcastle fans witnessed a mini resurgence when they saw their side win away against West Ham and at home to Bournemouth. However, they were beaten comfortably by Aston Villa on Monday.

John Barnes’ tip: Newcastle 1-3 Manchester City

The Bonus Code Bets ambassador expects The Citizens to gain all three points on their travels.

Norwich v Arsenal

The only thing Unai Emery has a chance of coming first in at the moment is the sack race, with the former Paris Saint-Germain manager under serious threat of being relieved of his duties.

The London side have failed to win any of their previous six games in all competitions and have drawn their last three home games against the likes of Southampton, Wolves and Crystal Palace.

Anything less than a victory could prove to be curtains for Emery. Afterall, the Canaries currently sit in the relegation zone and have only won one of their previous eight league matches.

John Barnes’ tip: Norwich 2-2 Arsenal

The Bonus Code Bets ambassador thinks the Canaries can cause Arsenal further frustration at Carrow Road.

Leicester v Everton

While Liverpool and Manchester City have long been touted as the Premier League title chasers, it’s Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester who currently fill second in the table after a sensational run of form.

The Foxes have only lost two games this season, less than both Manchester City and Chelsea, and in Jamie Vardy they have the league’s most potent striker with 12 so far this campaign.

Everton on the other hand are having a woeful time of things and a home defeat at the hands of Norwich last weekend means manager Marco Silva can’t afford to lose what will be a tough tie.

John Barnes’ tip: Leicester 2-0 Everton

The Bonus Code Bets ambassador is expecting the Foxes to chew up and spit out the Toffees.
