This weekend we’ll guide you through the best bets for some Premier League matches. Two-time FA Cup winner and BonusCodeBets ambassador John Barnes – has given us his predictions to help you win big this weekend.
Arsenal v Tottenham
It’s arguably the most important game in the Premier League calendar for each set of supporters. It doesn’t get much bigger than this for the two managers. Arsenal have endured a tough run in the league against Tottenham, recording just one win in their previous eight meetings. It’s a spell dating back to the beginning of the 2014/15 season.
However, during that time, Arsenal have seldom enjoyed a period as much as they have over the past couple of months. Under Unai Emery, he guided the Gunners through a current run of 17 games unbeaten in all competitions.
They meet a Spurs side fresh off of an outstanding win against Chelsea who were unbeaten in all competitions until last weekend’s humbling. Despite enjoying their best ever start to a Premier League campaign, the quality of Spurs’ performances have been few and far between. But it looks like they might just be finding their feet after Saturday’s victory.
Arsenal will be most wary of a certain Spurs’ frontman on Sunday. Nobody loves this fixture as much as Harry Kane. The Englishman has scored seven goals in the last seven Premier League meetings between these two teams; the only other Spurs player to score a goal in those seven fixtures was Dele Alli.
John Barnes’ tip: Arsenal 2-2 Tottenham
The BonusCodeBets ambassador expects a tight game at the Emirates.
Liverpool v Everton
Liverpool faces an Everton side who have gone under the radar in recent weeks to slip ahead of Manchester United and Bournemouth into sixth place. Victory against Cardiff last weekend, coupled with a well-deserved draw at Stamford Bridge before the international break has given Marco Silva’s side new belief that they can be a problem to the elite sides within the division.
Jurgen Klopp will be wary of this fixture becoming a potential banana skin match in the calendar; the Reds had a tough game in Paris in mid-week and their manager will be hoping the players have enough to pick themselves up and get going for what it is seen as a must-win cup final for both sets of fans.
That said, Mohamed Salah is on top form of late, scoring six in his last five games. He’ll be itching to get on the scoresheet and emulate the scenes of when he scored in this fixture last season.
John Barnes’ tip: Liverpool 2-0 Everton
The BonusCodeBets ambassador expects the hosts to win comfortably.
Southamption v Manchester United
On one hand, this is a game that both managers want to play. For Mark Hughes, if Southampton can get a win against Manchester United, he will be relieved from some of the unrelenting pressure he has received over the past couple of weeks. For Jose Mourinho, Southampton presents an inviting test for his side to go and play some creative, experimental football and please the fans with a comfortable win.
On the other hand, Hughes could lose to a United side back on form, subjecting himself to further scrutiny. While Mourinho could go and lose to one of the Premier League’s biggest strugglers.
It’s a must win for both managers. But Hughes’ fate looks all but sealed after falling to defeat at Fulham last weekend.
John Barnes’ tip: Southampton 0-2 Manchester United
The BonusCodeBets ambassador predicts more misery for the Saints.
