Premier League Tips Matchweek 19
The turkeys have been eaten and the presents have been unwrapped, meaning it must be time for the much-awaited Boxing Day fixture list. It’s match week 19 of the Premier League season and it brings with it the gift of several attractive clashes, not least a top of the table post-Christmas duel in the form of Leicester versus Liverpool.

Southampton travel to Stamford Bridge to take on a Chelsea side fresh from a statement victory in north London, while Manchester United will be welcoming Newcastle who, if they win, will leapfrog their hosts.

This Christmas weekend we’ll guide you through the best bets for Premier League matches. Two-time FA Cup winner and BonusCodeBets ambassador John Barnes – has given us his predictions to help you win this weekend. Check out our Premier League Betting Offers to see you on your way.

Chelsea v Southampton

It wasn’t the most elegant game of football but Chelsea recorded a significant win over former manager Jose Mourinho’s Spurs side last time out. It was much needed, given that it was off the back of two consecutive losses for the Blues.

The London derby will have put a confident spring in their step as they host a Southampton side who have not been enjoying the most fruitful of campaigns so far.

Frank Lampard will be keen to maintain momentum and the Saints should be worried, having lost two of their last three in the league and going into the match week just one place outside the relegation zone.

John Barnes’ tip: Chelsea 3 Southampton 1

The BonusCodeBets ambassador expects Chelsea to make relatively light work of the Saints.

Manchester United v Newcastle

Much has been made of the fact that this is Manchester United’s worst ever start to a Premier League campaign but, sitting just three points off fifth place, a visit from Newcastle should present a winnable opportunity.

Old Trafford is always a daunting place to play and after their woeful loss at Watford last weekend, they will be motivated to put things right against the Magpies.

The visitors are level with United on points and have taken three wins from their last five, but star player last time out Paul Dummett has added himself to Steve Bruce’s growing list of injured players and is a major doubt for this one.

John Barnes’ tip: Man Utd 2 Newcastle 0

The BonusCodeBets ambassador thinks the Red Devils will secure a comprehensive Boxing Day victory.

Leicester v Liverpool

The tastiest Boxing Day clash on offer, this fixture could carry huge weight come the title race at the end of the season, giving both outfits plenty of motivation to make a statement.

The reverse fixture was closely fought and the Reds just edged it 2-1 and, while Liverpool will fancy themselves to take all three points, the Foxes are strongest on home turf.

With the likes of Jamie Vardy and Mo Salah on the pitch, it’s hard to envisage any clean sheets being recorded but, that said, a closely fought encounter seems the most likely outcome.

John Barnes’ tip: Leicester 1 Liverpool 1

The BonusCodeBets ambassador is expecting the Foxes to rain on Liverpool’s parade.
