The Premier League is now well underway and already we have seen Manchester City surge to the top of the table after demolishing West Ham at the London Stadium.
Pep Guardiola’s side face a tougher task in the form of Tottenham this weekend, while Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal, Brighton and Burnley will all be hoping to remain unbeaten.
BonusCodeBets ambassador John Barnes makes his predictions on some of the weekend’s biggest clashes here:
Arsenal v Burnley
It may not have been all that convincing, but Arsenal kicked off their season with an away victory against Newcastle last weekend thanks to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s second-half strike.
The Gunners face a Burnley side that hit three past Southampton in their opening clash, with Ashley Barnes netting twice before Jóhann Berg Guðmundsson wrapped up the third.
It was a result that sent Sean Dyche’s side into fifth. However, they are not expected to sit ahead of Arsenal for too long with their defence unlikely to stop the likes of Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
John Barnes’ Prediction: Arsenal 2-1 Burnley
The Bonus Code Bets ambassador expects the hosts to land all three points.
Manchester City v Tottenham
Manchester City picked up exactly where they left up at the London Stadium last week, smashing five past West Ham and having another disallowed in what was an impressive first-day performance.
Raheem Sterling was yet again unplayable for the Citizens, netting a hat trick to go top of the Premier League table. Tottenham represents a stiffer challenge, but a home win looks the most likely result.
Tottenham made hard work of their victory against Premier League new boys Aston Villa, conceding inside 10 minutes before scoring three goals in the last 17 minutes to turn it around.
John Barnes’ Prediction: Manchester City 3-1 Tottenham
The Bonus Code Bets ambassador believes it will be another win for the Citizens.
Chelsea v Leicester
A 4-0 defeat away against Manchester United wasn’t exactly the start new boss Frank Lampard would have dreamed of, but it was the one he received as Marcus Rashford bagged a brace.
Anthony Martial and Daniel James also netted. However, it was safe to say the score flattered the hosts and as long as they aren’t too dejected, they should have enough to see off Leicester.
The Foxes themselves were forced to settle for a share of the spoils when Wolverhampton Wanderers visited the King Power and will need to find a cutting edge to get anything here.
John Barnes’ Prediction: Chelsea 2-1 Leicester
The Bonus Code Bets ambassador thinks Chelsea will get back to winning ways.
