This weekend we’ll guide you through the best bets for Premier League matches. Two-time FA Cup winner and BonusCodeBets ambassador John Barnes – has given us his predictions to help you win big this weekend.
Cardiff v Tottenham
Cardiff haven’t beaten Tottenham since 1977 and will have their work cut out against a top four-chasing side with a formidable away record.
Bluebirds boss Neil Warnock may not be the most glamourous of managers, but no one can argue about the sterling job he’s done at the club, and if he was to keep them up, he has to be in the running for the Manager of the Year award. Home games are vitally important for sides looking to stay up and this is no different for Cardiff.
Considering their net spend in relation to the other top six clubs, what Mauricio Pochettino has done at Tottenham has been remarkable. With a new stadium imminent, it is exciting times for Spurs fans who will look to start the year off with a win.
John Barnes’ tip: Cardiff 0-2 Tottenham
The BonusCodeBets ambassador expects Tottenham to come away with three points.
Newcastle v Manchester United
Considering these two teams were embroiled in a famous title race 12 years ago, it is a shame to see the state of these clubs in their current moment.
Newcastle, still in search for new ownership, have manager Rafa Benitez to thank providing them with the type of stability that saw them avoid relegation last season.
Manchester United on the other hand, stand little chance of qualifying for the Champions League and that is extremely disappointing for a club of their stature.
In recent years, Newcastle have had a lot of trouble buying players but a loss here could force the Magpies into the market. They don’t have a great record against the Red Devils winning just three times since 2001 but this is a weak United side so Newcastle have every chance of picking up at least a share of spoils.
John Barnes’ tip: Newcastle 1-1 Manchester United
The BonusCodeBets ambassador expects a draw between the two sides.
Manchester City v Liverpool
This is without doubt the biggest match of the season, with the winner likely to go on and win the Premier League title.
Liverpool will take confidence in the knowledge they beat City last time out, but the Citizens have been scintillating at home this season, so this promises to be a cracker.
With the strength in depth at Pep Guardiola’s disposal, rotating the squad slightly hasn’t been too much of an issue for the Citizens and they will arrive full of confidence.
Liverpool seem to strengthen enormously in recent transfer windows with the acquisitions of Mohamed Salah, Virgil Van Dijk and Allison so observing any business done by the Reds this January will be interesting. Jurgen Klopp’s men have been brilliant this season but they’ll need to be on form for this one.
John Barnes’ tip: Man City 2-2 Liverpool
The BonusCodeBets ambassador can’t split the sides and he expects a 2-2 draw.
