Premier League Tips 19/20 – Matchweek 22

Premier League action returns after a break for the FA Cup and it includes a must-watch clash between Tottenham and Liverpool as well as Bournemouth’s relegation six-pointer with Watford.

Elsewhere, Manchester City, who beat rivals Manchester United in the cup on Tuesday night, will be looking to close the gap on the Reds should they slip up in north London when they face Aston Villa.

We’ll guide you through the best bets for Premier League matches this week. Two-time FA Cup winner and BonusCodeBets ambassador John Barnes – has given us his predictions to help you make your best bet this weekend. Check out our Premier League Betting Offers while you’re at it.

Tottenham v Liverpool

Liverpool played their kids in the FA Cup last weekend and it was still enough to get the better of rivals Everton and they will be hoping their well-rested big guns will be up for the battle here.

Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino will all return to play on the nerves of a Tottenham side which was held by Championship outfit Middlesbrough in the same tournament.

With one win in five matches in all competitions, Spurs manager Jose Mourinho could really do with all three points in Saturday’s late kick off but he will struggle against a relentless Liverpool side.

John Barnes’ prediction: Tottenham 2-2 Liverpool

The Bonus Code Bets ambassador expects the Reds to earn a point in north London

Bournemouth v Watford

Three wins in four league games has given Watford’s fight for safety a major boost. However, they still sit in the relegation zone with this weekend’s opponents Bournemouth for company.

Just one point separates the two sides, with both knowing a victory could play a major part in where they are playing their football next season but Bournemouth are on a woeful run of form.

The seaside club have lost three of their previous four in the league, including 4-0 defeat by struggling West Ham, but they did give their fans a small reason to cheer last week when winning in the cup.

John Barnes’ prediction: Bournemouth 1-2 Watford

Aston Villa v Manchester City

Manchester City didn’t even have to leave third gear to get past Manchester United in midweek and if they ooze that class again they will breeze past Aston Villa with ease at Villa Park.

Bernardo Silva was the standout star and will be looking to pull the strings once again as the Villains desperately hope Liverpool come up short elsewhere.

Winning home form will be the key for Aston Villa’s survival hopes and they will need it to start soon as Dean Smith’s side sit precariously close to the relegation zone, with a result unlikely here.

John Barnes’ prediction: Aston Villa 0-2 Manchester City
