This weekend we’ll guide you through the best bets for Premier League matches. Two-time FA Cup winner and BonusCodeBets ambassador John Barnes – has given us his predictions to help you win big this weekend.
Leicester v Manchester United
Both sides head into this match having come from behind to earn draws in their respective midweek matches. Coincidentally, the last time Leicester beat Manchester United they had to come from behind again, beating the Red Devils 5-3 having gone 2-0 down. The Foxes will want a similar result this time around but face a United side who are still unbeaten under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Leicester will go into this game with a lot of momentum following their 1-1 draw away at Premier League leaders Liverpool on Wednesday night. Alarmingly, The Foxes have picked up more points away from home than they have at the Kingpower Stadium this season but their record against the top sides holds them in good stead with recent wins against Manchester City and Chelsea.
Manchester United suffered their first blip under Solskjaer on Tuesday night against Burnley but United fans will be encouraged by the character shown by the side having been 2-0 down after 86 minutes and still coming back to earn a point. The 19 points out of a possible 21 they have recorded is still a fantastic return for them but they’ll want to get back to winning ways as soon as possible.
John Barnes’ tip: Leicester 1-1 Manchester United
The BonusCodeBets ambassador thinks the two sides will share the spoils.
Manchester City v Arsenal
These sides met on the opening weekend of the season with Manchester City ending up victorious on that occasion. Since then, Unai Emery has developed a much better understanding of his Arsenal side and he’ll want an improvement on their 2-0 defeat by the Citizens on the opening Sunday.
City dropped points in their pursuit to the title after a shock 2-1 defeat by Newcastle. Complacency may have creeped in for Pep Guardiola’s men and a similar performance against this strong Arsenal side would see them lose again. Saying that, big games like these tend to motivate the players.
Arsenal were able to grind out a win against a resolute Cardiff side in midweek but they’ll be under no illusion knowing that they’ll be up against one of the best sides in the world. Denis Suarez could make his debut for Arsenal and may have a point to prove as he comes up against his former club.
John Barnes’ tip: Manchester City 3-1 Arsenal
The BonusCodeBets ambassador thinks the hosts will be too strong.
West Ham v Liverpool
In each of the last four times these two have met, Liverpool have managed to put four goals past West Ham. Manuel Pellegrini will want to shore his defence up to prevent his side letting in four goals again but with his side in bad form, coupled with Liverpool’s prolific front three, West Ham could be in for a tough evening.
Three defeats in their last three matches has seen West Ham have a real drop in form despite their strong start to the season. Troubling signs have appeared for the Irons since their defeat by League One side AFC Wimbledon last week and another defeat in midweek without a single shot on target may leave West Ham fans apprehensive for their upcoming match.
Liverpool will be frustrated with their draw to Leicester having had the chance to increase their lead at the top of the table to seven points. Nevertheless, a five-point gap remains and a win at the London Stadium would be the perfect way to silence any doubters suggesting this side might crumble when the pressure’s put on them.
John Barnes’ tip: West Ham 1-3 Liverpool
The BonusCodeBets ambassador expects Liverpool to get back to winning ways.
