Week three of the Premier League is fast approaching and the table is beginning to take shape, with Liverpool and Arsenal the only two sides maintaining their 100% winning starts.
Manchester City and Tottenham settled for a point apiece last weekend and find themselves on four points, while the likes of West Ham, Watford and even Chelsea are yet to taste victory.
With Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City all televised, this weekend’s fixtures are sure to be crackers and Bonus Code Bets ambassador John Barnes makes his predictions here:
Norwich v Chelsea
Frank Lampard has endured a tough start to his reign as manager of Chelsea, with a solitary point at home against Leicester all he has to show from the opening two games of the Premier League.
Youngster Mason Mount, who spent last season with Lampard at Derby, netted last weekend in their 1-1 draw against Leicester. That followed their opening-weekend mauling at Manchester United.
Norwich on the other hand are enjoying life back in the topflight, with striker Teemu Pukki netting a hat-trick against Newcastle last weekend to take his total to four goals in just two games.
John Barnes’ Prediction: Norwich 1-1 Chelsea
The Bonus Code Bets ambassador expects the hosts to frustrate the Blues.
Liverpool v Arsenal
Despite being far from their best, Liverpool got the better of Southampton last weekend to hit the top of the Premier League pile thanks to goals from Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
It could have been a whole lot worse had Danny Ings taken a late chance to level the scores at St Mary’s after Adrian had let the Saints back in with an error, but Jurgen Klopp’s side held out for the win.
This weekend’s clash sees the top two in the table go head-to-head, with Arsenal getting the better of Newcastle and Burnley. However, both of the Gunners’ wins have been less than impressive.
John Barnes’ Prediction: Liverpool 2-1 Arsenal
The Bonus Code Bets ambassador believes it will be another win for the Anfield side.
Bournemouth v Manchester City
Manchester City were held by Tottenham last Sunday despite being the better side, twice taking the lead via Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero, only for Spurs to peg them back.
The Citizens tore West Ham apart on the opening day, netting five goals without reply, and will be confident of getting back to winning ways as they head to the seaside to face Bournemouth.
However, the Cherries have taken four points from a possible six so far this season after beating Aston Villa and drawing with Sheffield United, and they could make life difficult for City.
John Barnes’ Prediction: Bournemouth 1-3 Manchester City
The Bonus Code Bets ambassador thinks the Citizens will enjoy their trip to the coast.
