This weekend we’ll guide you through the best bets for Premier League matches. Two-time FA Cup winner and BonusCodeBets ambassador John Barnes – has given us his predictions to help you win big this weekend.
Manchester City v Watford
Manchester City’s narrow victory over Bournemouth proved to be the win that regained them top spot in the Premier League. Liverpool failed to beat Everton causing them to slip into second. Riyad Mahrez scored City’s only goal of the game away against the Cherries, making it successive 1-0 victories for Pep Guardiola’s side. They beat West Ham by the same scoreline five days prior. In the four games before then Guardiola’s side had scored a whopping 17 goals. The fact goals have dried up a little is the only consolation the travelling Watford squad have ahead of the game. They bounced back to form with a narrow victory against Leicester last time out to put to bed concerns regarding their form having been hit for five by Liverpool away at Anfield.
John Barnes’ tip: Manchester City 3-1 Watford
The BonusCodeBets ambassador expects Pep Guardiola’s side to win yet again.
Chelsea v Wolves
Chelsea suffered League Cup heartache just a few weeks ago. However, their Premier League form hasn’t suffered since, with victories coming over London rivals Tottenham and Fulham. The Blues will have one eye on Arsenal v Manchester United this week as they look to close the gap on the two sides directly above them in the table in a bid to earn a Champions League spot. They currently sit two points off that elusive fourth spot and know victory against Wolves is a must this weekend. Wolves themselves will be looking to make up for their shock defeat at Huddersfield. A whopping 29 points separate both sides. But Steve Mounié’s late goal was enough to give the Huddersfield fans a rare reason to smile. Wolves could face more misery this weekend.
John Barnes’ tip: Chelsea 2-1 Wolves
The BonusCodeBets ambassador expects three in a row for Chelsea in league.
Arsenal v Manchester United
Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang missed a last-gasp penalty. This denied his side all three points against Tottenham in last weekend’s north London derby at Wembley. It saw the Gunners slip to fifth in the division, a point behind Manchester United who they face this weekend as both sides look to secure themselves a Champions League spot. United secured maximum points at home against Southampton last weekend thanks to a late winner from Romelu Lukaku, his second goal of the game having watched Paul Pogba miss a penalty. However, they will be forced to play without form Arsenal attacker Alexis Sanchez. He has been ruled out for the season having suffered an injury in that aforementioned victory.
John Barnes’ tip: Arsenal 1-1 Manchester United
The BonusCodeBets ambassador expects spoils to be shared at Emirates Stadium.
