The Premier League season is back for the ninth weekend after the week-long break.
The table isn’t shifting much with Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool still at the top. Huddersfield, Newcastle and Cardiff are also sticking to the bottom of the league.
This weekend we’ll see the three top teams take the pitch and who better to guide you through the best bets than two-time FA Cup winner and BonusCodeBets ambassador John Barnes – who’s given us his predictions to help you win big this weekend.
Chelsea v Manchester United
Only Manchester City sit above Chelsea in the Premier League following six wins and two draws for the west London side. This includes most recently against Southampton.
Eden Hazard, the division’s top scorer, netted the opener that day and will be hungry to continue that fine-scoring run up against former manager Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge.
Mourinho’s United arrive after a stuttering start to the season. They currently sit eighth, seven points off the pace, having already tasted defeat against Tottenham, West Ham and Brighton.
John Barnes’ tip: Chelsea 1-1 Manchester United
The BonusCodeBets ambassador expects Jose Mourinho to take a point from his former club at Stamford Bridge.
Huddersfield v Liverpool
Liverpool is one of three sides sat on 20 points at the top of the table having mirrored Manchester City and Chelsea’s form of six wins and two draws. However, they sit third on goal difference.
With 15 goals in eight games, they have scored three less than Chelsea and six less than table-topping City, but the stats suggest they should have no trouble firing past struggling Huddersfield.
Sat in the relegation zone, winless Huddersfield has conceded a whopping 17 goals already this season, including six against Manchester City and three against Chelsea.
John Barnes’ tip: Huddersfield 0-2 Liverpool
The BonusCodeBets ambassador feels Liverpool’s fine start to the season will continue against struggling Huddersfield.
Everton v Crystal Palace
Everton sits five points clear of Crystal Palace in the table and will see this weekend’s game as the perfect chance to enhance that gap. They bid to win their third league game on the bounce.
Five goals in two games have seen them get the better of Fulham and Leicester in recent weeks. While Crystal Palace is winless in three, including defeats against Bournemouth and Wolves.
Roy Hodgson’s side is one of the Premier League’s lowest scorers. They’ve only found the back of the net five times. Huddersfield and Cardiff the only two sides to have scored fewer goals.
John Barnes’ tip: Everton 2-1 Crystal Palace
The BonusCodeBets ambassador thinks Crystal Palace will suffer defeat once again as they take on Everton.
