Alejandro Garnacho has been struggling with his performances, despite his numbers actually being quite impressive this season, but lately another problem appeared for the Argentinian, and we caught up with Paul Parker to discuss Garnacho’s situation.
Among a lot of big stories around one of the biggest clubs in the world, this might be one of the more bizarre ones. Man United star Alejandro Garnacho has been accused of leaking lineups on social media, including getting his family to leak it.
Garnacho causing serious damage to the club
Paul Parker claims that this has been a well kept secret for a long time, however everyone in and around the club already knows it.
“We all know that Garnacho tells his family to leak the lineups. I have known about it for a long time. Now the fans know it as well.I don’t want to blame anyone in his family, but Garnacho is acting like a child here. He is not a kid anymore, he needs to take responsibility.
“He is damaging the club. He is causing massive damage to the club and potentially he can be the reason why the new manager is failing. He wanted Erik ten Hag sacked, and he got that. Now he has to perform.
“The problem is that he is just not a very good player. I don’t see him as a key player at all, and I honestly doubt he will ever become that. He is not living up to his potential. He is letting the club down by his massive ego.”
Garnacho should have a chat with his idol
Garnacho had the pleasure of playing with his idol Cristiano Ronaldo before the Portuguese moved to Al-Nassr, but Parker thinks it’s now, more than ever, time for the two players to have a serious conversation.
“I really liked Garnacho when he first started playing, because he had this fire in his belly. He was a typical Argentinian, but he is not like that anymore.
“His idol is Cristiano Ronaldo, but the way he is acting at the moment.. Ronaldo would be embarrassed. I am maybe not the biggest fan of Ronaldo, but I respect him a lot for what he has done throughout his career.
“He has worked so hard, and maybe Garnacho should have a chat with him to understand how hard Ronaldo worked to become what he became. You don’t become Ronaldo just by having posters of him in your room. It’s a lifestyle. Ronaldo would never let himself or his club down like Garnacho is doing at this moment in time.“
Manchester United are set to take on Manchester City this weekend, and the Red Devils are priced at 4/1 on Sky Bet to beat their local rivals, which could be a tempting bet for some punters.
