With the Scottish Premiership 2024-2025 season in full swing, we have collected the Instagram accounts of the players playing this season to find out who are the most followed players on social media and how much money they could potentially earn through sponsored posts. Some of the notable names that were part of the analysis are Rangers’ Jack Butland or Celtic’s Kasper Schmeichel.

Players and clubs and their follower numbers can be found below.

Methodology

  • The players' Instagram accounts were collected and analysed
  • If a player's social media account is private / not available / does not exist, they are marked as "0"
  • The potential earnings per post were counted with an industry-accepted standard of 10 US dollars per 1000 followers (and converted into GBP)
