West Ham fans forced to pay nearly 500% more for flights to Prague after reaching Conference League final

  • Flights to Prague from London have increased by a staggering 513% in the wake of West Ham reaching the Europa Conference League final
  • A round trip for a two-day excursion to Prague between May 31 – June 2 costs £97, one week before the final at the Fortuna Arena
  • However, this rises to £519, with a stop in Munich, for June 6 – June 8
  • Another alternative is to fly to Vienna, then onto Vaclav Havel Airport, but this costs £546

West Ham United fans hoping to travel to Prague will have to brace themselves for a big expenditure, with prices for flights skyrocketing by more than 500%.

The final at the Fortuna Arena in Prague, will be held on Wednesday June 7th and a return trip from London to Vaclav Havel Airport in Prague on Tuesday 6th and returning on Thursday 8th June now costs £519.

This takes just over 5 hours and includes a stop in Munich, but would get West Ham fans into Prague for 1pm. There is a quicker way to get there, with a 6am flight into Vienna, before connecting into Prague – although this costs £546.

Research from BonusCodeBets has concluded that if you wish to travel to Prague a week earlier, it would cost tourists £97 for the same amount of time, which is an increase of 513% on prices.

According to Google, flights to Prague typically cost between £60 – £150. Of course, the high demand from West Ham fans to get to a European final has caused the surge in prices and will likely mean hotels, car rentals and various amenities will also rise in price.
