His trainer, Aidan O’Brien, has won the last four runnings of this race and last year’s winner, Agenda, also had just one career start so his inexperience may not be a problem. Today’s main rivals, Truth Be Told and What’s Your Game, have been running some nice races in maidens but Propose’s pedigree suggests he could outclass these rivals.

David O’Meara’s gelding Twilight Diamond has been impressive in two career starts. He won well on his debut at Wolverhampton and followed up with a good performance to finish second when giving 12lbs to Groovy Baby at Kempton. Before they met, Groovy Baby had placed eight times in 11 races.
He should be good enough to record a second success as his main market rivals are all relatively exposed. With only two career starts so far, this four-year-old has the most potential for improvement.
