Twelve modern coliseums will host the 64 World Cup 2018 football games. Some are still being built, as the Samara one, whereas some have got legendary status like the Luzhniki Stadium. Eleven of those stadiums are in mainland Russia and one is in Kaliningrad, the Russian enclave nested between Lithuania and Poland. Furthermore, there’s only one stadium beyond the Ural; the under construction Ekaterinburg Arena lies in the Asian part of Russia.
- Luzhniki Stadium / Moscow / 80,000 Seats
- Saint Petersburg Stadium / Saint Petersburg / 67,000 Seats
- Fisht Stadium / Sochi / 48,000 Seats
- Ekaterinburg Arena / Ekaterinburg / 45,000 Seats
- Kazan Arena / Kazan / 45,000 Seats
- Nizhny Novgorod Stadium / Nizhny Novgorod / 45,000 Seats

- Volgograd Stadium / Volgograd / 45,000 Seats

The main stadium of attention will obviously be Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow. It is by far the biggest and will host the opening game, Russia v Saudi Arabia, as well as the final.
England at The World Cup
England will have to face off Tunisia, Panama, and Belgium to extract themselves from group G. Nothing too hard but Belgium will be a hefty opponent. Let’s not forget that England got kicked out of the last Euro Cup by Iceland. It is a team that needs work to retrieve its former glory. Gareth Southgate’s job will be a tricky one. However, the answer might lie with the young ones who have won the U-20 World Cup last year: Dominic Solanke, Lewis Cook, and Angus Gunn. We hope they will make a difference.
