To work out returns by yourself can be pretty complicated. It’s easy with single, double, or even treble bets. But what happens with complex types of bets including multiple selections such as Canadian bets?

Continue to read our article and in the first place discover the concept of the Canadian bets. See how to use the special bet calculator and why to use it. We’ll also discuss some of the calculator’s special functions and reveal bookmakers’ sign up codes as well as the latest football tips to empower your betting plans.

What is a Canadian Bet Calculator?

Due to the complexity of this type of bet, it is pretty hard to assume how a losing runner might influence the rest of the bet and returns. A specially created bet calculator brings you the possibility to see what returns to expect depending on different possible outcomes.

But before we get into a more detailed explanation of the calculator and its use, let’s make sure that we clearly understand what a Canadian bet is.

 Bet Calculator

What is a Canadian Bet?

Canadian bets represent a type of bet on 5 different selections: 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 four-fold’s and 1 a five-fold accumulator. In total, this wager consists of 26 bets. It is also known as a super Yankee and it’s similar to the Lucky 31. The only difference is that the Lucky 31 includes all the bets as the Canadian, as well as 5 single bets.

To have a return, two or more selections must be successful. Here are the parts of the Canadian bet:

Five-Fold Accumulator1-2-3-4-51

How to use the calculator?

The biggest advantage of this type of bet calculator is the possibility to experiment with different selections. Keep in mind that the purpose of each bet calculator is just to show you the potential winnings depending on different outcomes. It’s not possible to add the selections on a bet slip, enter your stake and place your bet.

In other words, this bet calculator is conceived as a special tool for helping you place your bets, but it can’t be used for placing bets.

Simply complete the following steps, calculate the stake, return and profit while trying different combinations:

  1. First of all, enter some of the most important bet details. Choose if it’s an each-way bet or not. Pick the odds format as well.
  2. Enter your selections and odds and then see what to expect.
  3. Rule 4 option is used to adjust winnings when a certain runner is withdrawn from a race.

Advanced functions

Advanced Canadian bet calculator functions apply to bets with special requirements. The following advanced functions are available:

Calculate returns for system bets

We can say that system bets are a kind of advanced version of accumulator bets. While an accumulator bet calculator operates with bets where the odds are multiplied together and all selections must win, a system bet calculator calculates odds when not all selections are required to win.

By calculating returns for system bets you can test various combinations and see what happens if a given selection goes wrong.

Choose between odds formats

The bet calculator in question brings the possibility to use different odds formats for calculating your bet. The commonly used odds format are Decimal, Fractional and American.

Potential winnings are calculated differently depending on the chosen odds format. Here’s how they are being calculated:

  • Decimal odds format: Potential winnings = Stake x Decimal number
  • Fractional: Potential winnings = (Stake x Fraction) + Stake
  • American: A minus sign before the number indicates the amount you need to enter as a stake in order to get $100. A plus sign indicates how much you could get for every $100 staked.

Anyway, you don’t even have to be bothered by this, since the calculator automatically calculates the potential winnings. You just have to choose and enter the odds and your stake into the empty fields. The calculator will do all the maths for you!

Enter each-way bets

When choosing the events you want to bet on, you can pick the each-way bet option as well. Then simply follow all the steps for a regular bet calculation.

As you probably know, the each-way betting involves two different bets: a win bet and a place bet. For example, if you bet on a certain horse, the first bet is for the horse to win, while the second bet is on the same runner to place. The number of positions you can choose from depends on the bookie. Usually, it’s the first four or five.

If your horse wins the race, both parts of your each-way bet will be paid out to you. If your favourite doesn’t win but is placed, just the place part of your bet will be paid out to you.

Keep in mind that when you bet each-way, your stake doubles. Like we have already said, a Canadian bet consists of 26 bets on 5 selections. It means that if you stake £1 this bet will cost you £26. In case you’ve chosen an each-way option, this Canadian bet costs £52.

Why use the Canadian Bet calculator?

Calculating the potential returns can be a pretty difficult and boring process. Especially if you are placing complex bet including various selections as Canadian bets do.

That’s why a Canadian bet calculator is designed to save your time and allow you to try out various combinations. Enter your predictions and see what total profit to expect if they prove to be correct.
