Bournemouth have been losing at both half time and full time in their last 3 matches
Momentum is very important at this stage of the season, and Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe will be acutely aware of the action developing over the shoulders of his side. Bournemouth have yet to win in 2017, and they have lost 4 and drawn 1 of their last 5 matches. It is their defence which will be of particular concern, they have conceded 17 goals during this run. Bournemouth have a few injury concerns with Simon Francis, and Jordan Ibe likely to be unavailable, along with long term absentees Callum Wilson and Adam Federici. Their revival is made even more difficult by the fact they travel to buoyant Manchester United in their next fixture.
The Red Devils were victorious at Wembley last weekend, and have further added to their trophy haul to become the most successful team in English Football. Zlatan Ibrahimovic also increased his impressive trophy collection and will be eager to get back into action and fire his team further up the table. He spearheads a team that is now undefeated in the last 16 matches. The only real injury concern United have is over Henrikh Mkhitaryan who is still a doubt after missing the English Football League Cup final.
Suggested bet: Manchester United Half Time/Full Time @ 18/25 (bet365)
There have been under 2.5 goals scored in Hull’s last 5 games
The relegation battle is really hotting up, with most of the teams in the bottom 6 starting to pick up results. Hull have had some impressive results in recent weeks, including a 2-0 win over Liverpool, and a 0-0 draw away from home against Manchester United. Their visit to Leicester represents a real 6 pointer, and is likely to be a very keenly fought contest. The Hull injury list is massive, and the latest absentees are striker Mbokani and on loan winger Lazar Markovic.
Leicester will be in a great mood after a very eventful 10 days. Firstly Claudio Ranieri was sacked, which caused a lot of controversy in the Football world. But it seems to have paid off after the Foxes beat Liverpool 3-1 to register their first win of 2017. The only injury concern for Leicester is January arrival Molla Wague, and caretaker manager Craig Shakespeare is expected to name an unchanged side.
Suggested bet: Leicester To Win To Nil @ 21/10 (BetVictor)
Liverpool are undefeated in 19 of their last 20 home matches
Jurgen Klopp is probably cutting a frustrated figure at the moment. His team at times are scintillating, but are also very inconsistent. Following their 2-0 win at home to Tottenham, it was expected Liverpool would go on a run. But they fell at their first hurdle and were defeated by a Claudio Ranieri-less Leicester City. Quite frankly, their defence looks like a disaster waiting to happen at times. But one thing Klopp will be able to hang on to, is the fact his team are yet to be beaten by another team in the top 6 this season, and his side tend to turn up in the big matches. Jordan Henderson and Dejan Lovren remain huge doubts for Jurgen Klopp’s men, and they are likely to miss the match.
Due to their match vs. Southampton being postponed because of the League Cup final, Arsenal haven’t played in the league since the 11th February. With 5 points separating 2nd and 6th placed, the battle for top 4 is hotter than ever, and they will be relishing getting back into action and having their say. Arsenal are likely to miss Mesut Ozil due to illness, but Laurent Koscielny, Xhaka and Aaron Ramsey are back in contention following injury.
Suggested bet: Draw @ 13/5 (Paddy Power)
Tottenham have won their last 8 home matches
Tottenham waved goodbye to a difficult period as they demolished Stoke 4-0 for the third game against them in a row. Harry Kane in particular is in sensational form, and has scored an incredible 3 hat tricks in the last 9 matches to take a step closer to securing the golden boot this season. Dele Alli also added to his tally following his Wembley nightmare and first half sending off. Sitting in second place, Tottenham will be looking up and hoping that Chelsea slip up. But just 4 points separate themselves with 5th placed Liverpool, which shows the importance of their match against Everton. Tottenham can count on a fully fit squad, with the exception of long term absentees Danny Rose and Erik Lamela.
Everton have hit some good form of their own, and are now unbeaten in the last 9 Premier League matches. It is their away form that is letting them down slightly, and it is on the road against Middlesbrough and Stoke where they could only muster a draw. It is likely that Ronald Koeman will announce an unchanged 11 from the side that beat Sunderland last time out.
Suggested bet: Tottenham win @ 4/6 (Bet365)
Man City have been winning at both half time and full time in their last 3 matches
Manchester City look like a different team since Pep Guardiola dramatically changed things up and went with a 4141 formation in their 2-2 draw with top 4 rivals Tottenham. Along with Tottenham they are the only realistic challengers to Chelsea this season and will be concentrating on continuing their good form in the hope Chelsea slip up. Unfortunately for City, Gabriel Jesus is likely to be on the injury list for a while, but with Sergio Aguero, their back up isn’t too bad!
Sunderland are currently sat bottom of the table and face an uphill battle to survive this season. Jermain Defoe looks like their only realistic hope, and without his goals they would be a lost cause. They will be looking to draw inspiration from their recent match against Tottenham where they held them to a goalless draw.
Suggested bet: Manchester City Half Time/Full Time @ 3/4 (Coral)
