John Barnes Premier League Predictions 2017 - Matchweek 25

This weeks tips from Brand Ambassador John Barnes are for the next round of the English Premier League – Matchweek 25.

The Premier League is reaching a crucial period as teams either end of the table fight for honours or to avoid relegation. Chelsea are running away with the title and look unlikely to be stopped, while Sunderland, Crystal Palace, Swansea and Leicester battle to stay in the top flight.

With the prospect of some mouth-watering fixtures, who better to guide you through the best bets than BonusCodeBets ambassador John Barnes? John has given us his predictions to help you win big this weekend.

Liverpool vs Tottenham

While Jurgen Klopp isn’t a manager under immediate pressure, the Liverpool boss will be desperate for his side to start picking up points as they continue to tumble out of the Premier League title race. Defeat away to Hull was arguably the lowest point of Klopp’s reign as the Reds’ winless run rose to five Premier League games. On Saturday, they face Tottenham, who look to be the only side challenging Chelsea and will fancy their chances at Anfield. Harry Kane and Dele Alli are in formidable form, and against a leaky defence, the England internationals will be confident of keeping up their recent goalscoring exploits.

John Barnes’ tip: The BonusCodeBets ambassador is backing his former side to upset the odds and get their season back on track with a 2-1 win over Spurs.

Manchester United vs Watford

Man utd vs watford

Things are starting to come together for Jose Mourinho and Manchester United, who completely outclassed reigning champions Leicester at the weekend. Summer signings Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic both found the net as the Red Devils edged closer to the Champions League places. Watford, on the other hand, made a bright start to the season but hit a slump in form, which saw Walter Mazzarri’s future being subject to speculation. The Hornets strengthened in January and M’baye Niang was impressive on his debut, helping his new side seal a 2-1 win over Burnley with an assist and goal.

John Barnes’ tip: The former Watford man doesn’t feel the Hornets will stop the United juggernaut and believes Mourinho’s side will comfortably win 2-0 at Old Trafford.

Swansea vs Leicester

Swansea vs leicester

In May last year, Leicester were presented with the Premier League trophy in what was the biggest shock in England’s top flight history. However, it’s a different story this season as Claudio Ranieri’s side face the prospect of being relegated if things don’t improve on the pitch. Their opponents, Swansea, looked down and out, but since Paul Clement’s arrival at the Liberty, things have markedly improved for the Welsh side. Victory at Liverpool saw them move out of the bottom three and fans, who had given up, are now hopeful of surviving relegation in May.

John Barnes’ tip: John is a 1-1 draw with both sides cancelling each other out. Neither side can afford to lose, so a point apiece may not be the worst result for either side.
