The Premier League is reaching a crucial period with three sides fighting to stay up and the title all but sealed by Chelsea.
With three games remaining, Antonio Conte’s side can clinch the title with a victory and bring the silverware back to Stamford Bridge.
With the prospect of some mouth-watering fixtures, who better to guide you through the best bets than BonusCodeBets ambassador John Barnes? John has given us his predictions to help you win big this weekend.
Tottenham v Manchester United
Tottenham’s valiant Premier League title chase all but came to an end last week after suffering a disappointing defeat to London rivals West Ham. Chelsea’s victory over Middlesbrough, which relegated the North East club, sent them seven points clear with three games remaining. Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping the term ‘always the bridesmaid, never the bride’ isn’t something which overshadows his tenure. But they won’t give up and would love to dent Manchester United’s faint hopes of finishing in the top four at White Hart Lane.
Harry Kane and Dele Alli will be eyeing up a weakened Red Devils backline on Sunday, with Eric Bailly and Marcos Rojo still ruled out through injury.
But it will all come down to a midfield battle with Mousa Dembele, Christian Eriksen and Vincent Wanyama aiming to dominate Paul Pogba, who cost more than them all combined.
Jose Mourinho’s 25-game unbeaten run came crashing down against his old foe Arsene Wenger, which made their top four quest become near impossible.
United’s last hope is to win the Europa League and the Portuguese is already prioritising that over their Premier League aspirations.
John Barnes’ tip: The BonusCodeBets ambassador is Spurs to get the better of United with a 2-1 victory at White Hart Lane, which you can back at 8/1 at most bookmakers.
Crystal Palace v Hull
This is arguably the most important clash of the weekend, with both sides threatened with the prospect of playing Championship football next season. Under Alan Pardew, Crystal Palace were a sinking ship and seemingly doomed but the appointment of Sam Allardyce has steadied the ship – but they’re not safe yet. Four points separate the two sides and Saturday’s 5-0 thumping by Manchester City is likely to have hit the Eagles’ confidence hard. Their makeshift defence couldn’t handle the attacking impetus City offered, with the midfield simply overrun throughout and Christian Benteke left completely isolated. The only danger was Wilfried Zaha, who is continuing to catch the eye for Palace this season.
Hull suffered a morale damaging defeat to already-relegated Sunderland at the KCOM, which saw them drop into the bottom three. Marco Silva’s side huffed and puffed but couldn’t find a way past the impressive Jordan Pickford. But the Tigers are only a point behind Swansea and know a victory at Selhurst Park could be a season-defining one.
John Barnes’ tip: John tips Palace to secure their safety with a routine 2-0 victory over Hull and all-but condemn them to Championship football.
West Ham v Liverpool
Liverpool haven’t been outside the top four since September and it was looking increasingly likely that they’d canter into the Champions League. But Sunday’s draw with Southampton brought the fears back with Arsenal winning and have two games in hand on Jurgen Klopp’s men. James Milner missed a crucial penalty and the Reds look as if they’ve run out of ideas in recent weeks, needing a goal of the season contender from Emre Can to squeeze past Watford.
West Ham, on the other hand, improved dramatically on Friday night and were buoyant after ending Spurs’ title hopes, while reaching the magic 40-point mark. Slaven Bilic’s future remains unclear after a season of disappointing campaign, where many hoped to be playing European football once again. But despite this, the Hammers still have hopes of finishing in the top half despite the prospect of a relegation scrap at times this season.
John Barnes’ tip: The Bonus Code Bets ambassador feels this will be a tight affair but isn’t confident his old side will come away victorious and is backing a 1-1 draw at the London Stadium.
