There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 15 of Swansea’s last 16 games
Under former Real Madrid assistant manager, Paul Clement, Swansea have looked a completely different team to the one that sunk towards the relegation zone under Bob Bradley. As well as an improvement in results, they have seen an improvement in the quality of their Football, and watching Swansea is an entertaining pastime once again. One slight concern is their away form though, and they have lost the last 3 away matches since their victory at Anfield in January.
Swansea have a few injury concerns with Angel Rangel, Nathan Dyer and Martin Olsson definitely out. Jefferson Montero and Ki Sung-yueng are doubts. However, their visit to Bournemouth represents a great opportunity to get back to winning ways on the road. The Cherries have recently been in disastrous form and they’re sinking like a stone.
Suggested bet: Over 2.5 Goals @ 13/5 (Bet365)
Everton have been winning at both half time and full time in their last 4 home matches
Following their defeat to Tottenham at White Hart Lane, Everton continued their great 2017 form with a 3-0 home victory over West Brom. They now sit just 2 points off of 6th place, although Manchester United do have two games in hand.
Once again Romelu Lukaku hit the back of the net to score his 19th goal of the season. But during the week he dropped the bombshell that he wants to leave Everton, so it is unsure how that will impact the Toffees morale. Although Lukaku doesn’t seem to think so, Ronald Koeman has really improved Everton, and is threatening to make the big 6, a big 7. Everton have few injury concerns for the visit of Hull, with Yannick Bolasie and Muhamed Besic the only absentees.
Visitors Hull City have picked up some good results in recent weeks, but their away form is a huge cause for concern. They have now lost 11 of the last 12 matches and could probably think of better places to go than Goodison Park to play an in-form Everton team. Oumar Niasse is unable to play against his parent team and Abel Hernandez is expected to lead the attack for the Tigers. Hull City have up to 8 other players missing, including Ryan Mason who is still recovering from a head injury.
Suggested bet: Everton Half Time/Full Time @ 7/5 (Bet Victor)
There have been under 2.5 goals scored in 8 of Stoke’s last 9 home games
Stoke boss Mark Hughes will be happy with the recent form shown by his side, and particularly happy with the fact his team managed to avoid defeat away to free scoring Manchester City in their last match. Stoke are now undefeated in their last 8 home matches and have nothing to lose in their match against visitors Chelsea, so will no doubt be looking to keep it tight and ask Chelsea some questions. Stephen Ireland and Jack Butland are out for the Potters, while Mame Biram Diouf and Glen Johnson are doubts. However, the good news is that Xherdan Shaquiri is set to return to the first team following his injury.
Time is running out for any team that is hoping to catch leaders Chelsea, and Antonio Conte’s men don’t look like stopping. They have now won 18 of their last 21 Premier League matches. Only Victor Moses looks to be a doubt for their trip to Stoke, but apart from that it is likely that the line up will be unchanged.
Suggested bet: Under 2.5 goals @ 4/5 (Paddy Power)
Tottenham have won their last 9 home matches
Tottenham are still unbeaten at White Hart Lane this season, and they are scoring for fun. They are giving their great old stadium a fantastic send off and have now scored an incredible 13 goals in their last 3 matches.
One huge concern though, is how they will deal with the injury to talisman Harry Kane, who looks to miss the next month after sustaining an ankle injury. Heung-Min Son looks to replace him in attack, and he looks in good form also, having scored 3 against Millwall in the FA Cup Quarter Final match. Aside from Kane, both Danny Rose and Erik Lamela are still missing, but both are close to a return.
Southampton showed no signs of a hangover from their League Cup final defeat against Man Utd, as they beat Watford 4-3 in a dramatic game at Vicarage road. They will have to do without Jeremy Pied, Matt Targett, Charlie Austin, Alex McCarthy and Virgil van Dijk against Tottenham, though.
Suggested bet: Tottenham win @ 8/11 (Bet365)
Man City are undefeated in their last 6 home matches
Following Manchester City’s exit from the Champions League in midweek, Pep Guardiola faces a tough run of fixtures, and he will be determined that his team avoids another slump. Following the visit of Liverpool, they face back to back away trips to Arsenal and Chelsea after the international break. With Chelsea looking like a relentless force, it is unlikely that they will be able to catch the west London team, so the FA Cup looks like the only chance of silverware left for the Sky Blues. Both Ilkay Gundogan and Gabriel Jesus remain the only absentees for Pep Guardiola. However he is expected to ring the changes defensively following their performance in midweek. Otamendi and Zabaleta are expected to return to the starting line up.
It’s been a hit and miss last few months for Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. His side remain undefeated against another top 6 side. But they also have defeats to Leicester and Hull City to their name in the last 5 matches. Jordan Henderson remains absent, while Dejan Lovren is making good progress but expected to miss out. Roberto Firmino missed the win over Burnley, but looks to return from his groin injury in time.
Suggested bet: Draw @ 11/4 (Coral)
